Summary
Learn the basics of making a traditional patchwork quilt on your sewing machine. Basic tools allow you quick, accurate and easy cutting and piecing. You will make one of two types of 9Patch block and set them into a single size bed quilt. Beginners will make a simple setting. Beginners with some experience can choose a slightly more advanced setting. A really fun way to begin your adventure into patchwork!

Choosing fabrics
Accurate and quick rotary cutting
How to achieve a perfect seam allowance
Easy piecing and pressing
Choosing the correct needles, threads and wadding for quilts
Designing your border
Beginners with some experience will review the above techniques and then proceed to learn:
Setting blocks on point
Cutting setting triangles
Understanding half and quarter square triangles
Creative design ideas for 9Patch quilts
Please bring with you
Your sewing machine and basic sewing kit
Rotary cutter, mat and ruler if you already have them (if not these can be provided - please ask)
Fabrics for the size you wish to make - if you need help with this, please contact Dawn

Needles, threads, and some basic tools will be available for purchase at very reasonable prices, although there is no requirement to purchase anything.
