This two day summer school conversational mandarin Chinese course will start from 'Pinyin' (the pronunciation) 'sisheng' (the four tones) and then focus on the general greetings from asking names, nationalities, family members, occupations, studying subjects, weather in four seasons and hobbies and interests, etc.
General conversations need basic vocabulary, simple sentence patterns and brief grammar knowledge such as word order, tenses, use of measure words etc.
With all the basic but practical and useful vocabulary and grammar knowledge students can easily move onto shopping, ordering meals, buying tickets and booking a room in a hotel while travelling in China and communicating with Chinese friends.
