Summary
An art felting course that builds up pictures in layers using soft merino wool in a myriad of colours. Using techniques in colour mixing and the wet felting process you can make scenic pictures or still life that will bring a wonderful textural quality to your art. Bring your inspiration and create.
Description
Please bring with you
Any normal felting equipment that you may have;
Small hand carders if you have them;
Olive-oil soap;
Sketchbook/notebook;
Pencil/pen;
Camera;
Hand cream;
Discarded chiffon scarves/fabric (charity shops), a good colour palette of merino wool 21micron (tutor will have a supply to sell), any trimmings such as lace, special threads etc;
Needle and thread;
A pair of fabric scissors and a pair of craft scissors;
Inspiration pictures such as landscapes, still life, flower pictures, favourite painting images.
The tutor will bring felting equipment in case students aren't able - please let us know in advance.

Sue Pearl has been felt making for over 20 years. She runs all levels of adult workshops and takes her skills into art and craft schools across the country as well as overseas. She is an effective tutor, passing on her expertise with enthusiasm. Sue is a long-standing member of the International Feltmakers Association. She published a book entitled Felted Friends and produced a DVD called Felt Magic.
