In this digital age, a beautifully handwritten poem, saying, invitation, envelope, letter card or place card can be very satisfying to create. Spend a relaxing and enjoyable two days acquiring the skills to achieve this.

Description

This two day course will focus on the contemporary use of lettering for self-expression and enjoyment.

Please bring with you

Apron or overalls and any equipment you may already have.  The tutor lends everything needed for the course.

The following items can be purchased from your tutor

The tutor will bring all you need to use during the course and will have vintage nibs to sell.  The tutor will supply all materials and exemplars to keep including paper for use during the course, at a cost of £10 payable to the tutor during the course.  We will discuss suppliers and the best tools to buy if you wish to continue.

This course is suitable for all levels - left handers very welcome!

Fascinated by hand lettering since a child and challenged by it because of being left-handed, Judi Whymark originally trained as a graphic designer and now specialises in Calligraphy and lettering. She has been teaching these skills for over 30 years. Originally left-handed, now ambidextrous, Judi enjoys sharing the potential of these skills with others..
