Fabulous Felt Bags
Tutor: Sue PearlCourse Code: 1720-05

Make a lovely sturdy felt bag using the wet feltmaking method. Your bag will be made without using any sewing and can be as decorative as you like. You will learn how to design the shape and create your own unique decoration. Using the resist method, you will form your design into a strong seamless bag capable of containing all your usual handbag items. Feltmaking is an addictive craft, fun and creative and will leave you wanting to explore further.

On this course, you will learn:
How to make flat felt.
How to design and construct a pattern for a three-dimensional felt bag
Using the resist method, you will learn how to make a bag with seams.
How to create a design for front and back of a bag using a pre-felt method.
Create different types of handles for the bag.
Once you have mastered the skill of creating a three-dimensional felt item you may like to go on to design and make other items, like a hat, in a future course.
