Summary
This is a two day course that aims to introduce students to drawing farm animals with coloured pencil. The course will practise basic pencil techniques including tracing down, shading, texturing, blending and embossing. The tutor will demonstrate each exercise step by step in a relaxed and friendly manner, showing you how to draw farm animals such as cows and chickens.
Description
This is an ideal course to learn how to draw farm animals with coloured pencil. Each exercise will be demonstrated by the tutor step by step and the course will be run in a friendly, non pressured environment where the tutor will be on hand to encourage and inspire. Ideal for beginners and people with some knowledge of the medium. This course is an ideal stepping stone to other courses run by Missenden School of Creative Arts where you could develop your drawing skills further.
Please bring with you
One A4 smooth white cartridge paper pad
One medium size pack of artists quality coloured pencils (Derwent, Faber Castel, Caran Dache, Lyra or WH Smith). As many different colours as possible eg: yellow, red, brown, black, green, blue, white etc, preferably two different kinds of each colour
If you have watercolour pencils then these can also be used dry
Pencil sharpener, 2B & 4B (or softer) pencil, eraser
