Summary
You will be introduced into how to use the skills of Chinese brushes, and the various methods of depicting trees and leaves along with rocks and stones, as examples, in order to build on the elements needed for a full landscape painting. Through demonstrations, everyone will be trained together, so that you will gradually master the skills of brushes and improve your ability to describe landscapes in Chinese painting.
Description
Chinese landscape painting is mainly composed of trees, leaves, mountains, stones and other main components. We will first study the parts of trees and rocks, and use different brush methods to depict different types of leaves and stones. Through detailed tutor demonstrations you will gradually master the brushwork skills of Chinese painting, learn how to depict various trees and rocks with a brush, and then learn how to combine these different parts into a complete landscape painting.
On the first day of the course, students will learn how to paint various types of trees and leaves in the morning. In the afternoon, students will learn how to draw several rocks and stones.
The instructor will explain and demonstrate at the same time, and the students can follow the hands-on exercises whilst the tutor will also guide and demonstrate face-to-face.
On the second day, the instructor will demonstrate and guide everyone how to use the skills they have learned in day 1 to combine the trees and rocks and form a landscape painting, step by step.
On the third day, more complex painting techniques and landscape subjects will be covered and you will consolidate the skills you have learned to improve your level.
