Tutor: Jackie Isard SBA Fellow CBM RHS GoldCourse Code: 0426-02

Summary

Learn how to paint the delicacy of feathers, the hardness of stones and fragility of bones/bird and small mammal skulls!

Description

The delicacy of feathers, the hardness of stones and fragility of bones/bird and small mammal skulls are all interesting subject to explore. I will teach you the techniques to apply in the following media; graphite, watercolour and/or pen and ink with a watercolour wash. The greys of stone, beige and brown of feathers and pale bone shadow tones will give you very good practise in creating depth and form from such a neutral palette. Make a sheet of studies or concentrate on one subject, the choice is yours! Borrow from my large collection or bring along your own items.
